What Planet Rules Cameras?

In yesterday’s Facebook discussion about which planet rules cameras one commentator quoted Rex Bills as saying that Neptune and the Moon rule cameras. She says that “Neptune rules illusory images, which is what a camera makes”.

However the function of something should not be confused with what it produces. A camera captures light. This is how a camera physically functions and this function describes its essential nature.

Because Saturn rules capture, it rules cameras. Saturn is not used here because of its practical aspect, which would make it the ruler of all mechanisms, but specifically because it rules capture and containment.

To correctly assess the nature of something it is important to make the distinction between function and consequence.
